Titulaire des plus hautes distinctions dans la classe de Christian Bernard au CRR de Grenoble, Sandra Chamoux intègre brillamment la Haute Ecole de musique (HEM) de Genève dans la classe de Harry Datyner et obtient en 1992 le Premier Prix de virtuosité. Diplômée des Concours internationaux Gian-Battista-Viotti et Ferrucio-Busoni (Italie), elle étudie auprès de Catherine Collard, Vlado Perlemuter et Yevgeni Malinin.
Musicienne éclectique, Sandra Chamoux s’exprime dans des répertoires très variés aussi bien en soliste qu’en musique de chambre, en France comme à l’étranger (Europe, Chine, Inde, Etats-Unis…).
Elle a joué sous la direction de Jean-Sébastien Béreau, Marc Tardue, Patrick Souillot, Frédéric Bouaniche, Nathalie Borgel avec laquelle, au sein de l’orchestre Symphonia Médica, elle a gravé en concert le Concerto n°2 de Rachmaninov. Elle partage également la scène avec Michel Moraguès, Romain Leleu, Elsa Grether, Sergio Lamberto, Vadim Tchijik , Sonia Wieder-Atherton, Jean Ferrandis, le quatuor Hermès, le trio Athéna, le Liberquartet… Avec Florence Cioccolani, elle a donné l’intégrale de l’œuvre de Rachmaninov pour deux pianos et quatre mains. Depuis 2015, elle joue régulièrement avec la violoncelliste Hélène Dautry avec laquelle un CD des 2 sonates de Brahms est paru chez Lyrinx.
La création contemporaine joue un rôle important dans son cheminement artistique : Philippe Hersant, Jean-Claude Wolff, Sophie Lacaze… et Claire Vazart dont elle a créé et enregistré sa Sonate pour piano, un trio et un cycle de mélodies, ces œuvres lui ayant été dédiées. Dédicataire de 2 oeuvres écrites par Florentine Mulsant, elle crée « Prélude, aria et final » salle Cortot à Paris en 2025.
Depuis 2016, Sandra Chamoux travaille avec le baryton Emmanuel Cury. Ensemble, ils ont créé le Duo Phidylé dont l’enregistrement des Mélodies de Duparc pour le label Calliope a été récompensé d’un Choc Classica en septembre 2020.
En mai 2021, toujours chez Calliope, un double CD de l’intégrale des Éphémères de Philippe Hersant et des Images de Debussy obtient 5 étoiles Classica, 4 Diapasons et une presse élogieuse en France et en Allemagne.
En 2023, elle travaille avec l'ensemble Des Equilibres pour l'enregistrement de l'intégrale de la musique de chambre pour cordes et piano de César Franck paru pour le label Klarthe, salué par 5 diapasons, 5 étoiles Classica…
En 2025, le CD « RéSonare » pour piano solo sortira chez le label Indésens.
Professeur de piano à l’Ecole Normale Alfred Cortot à Paris, au CRD de Nanterre, professeur de musique de chambre au CRR de Cergy-Pontoise, Sandra Chamoux enseigne aussi dans des Académies internationales (Talent's summer courses, Nancy, Grand Paris, Moulin d’Andé…) et est régulièrement invitée à donner des master-class en France mais aussi en Suisse, en Italie, en Allemagne, en Inde et en Chine.

Sandra Chamoux received the highest honors in the class of Christian Bernard at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional (CRR) of Grenoble, before being admitted with distinction to the Haute École de Musique (HEM) in Geneva, where she studied with Harry Datyner and was awarded the Premier Prix de virtuosité in 1992. A laureate of the Gian Battista Viotti and Ferruccio Busoni international competitions in Italy, she further honed her artistry under the guidance of Catherine Collard, Vlado Perlemuter, and Yevgeny Malinin.
An eclectic musician, Sandra Chamoux explores a wide range of repertoire as both a soloist and chamber musician, performing across France and internationally (Europe, China, India, the United States...). She has appeared under the baton of Jean-Sébastien Béreau, Marc Tardue, Patrick Souillot, Frédéric Bouaniche, and Nathalie Borgel—with whom she recorded a live performance of Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with the orchestra Symphonia Médica. Chamoux shares the stage with renowned artists such as Michel Moraguès, Romain Leleu, Elsa Grether, Sergio Lamberto, Vadim Tchijik, Sonia Wieder-Atherton, Jean Ferrandis, the Hermès Quartet, the Trio Athéna, and the Liberquartet. With Florence Cioccolani, she performed the complete works for two pianos and four hands by Rachmaninoff. Since 2015, she has been regularly performing with cellist Hélène Dautry, with whom she recorded a CD of Brahms’s two cello sonatas, released by the Lyrinx label.
Contemporary creation plays a vital role in her artistic path. She has premiered and recorded works by Philippe Hersant, Jean-Claude Wolff, Sophie Lacaze, and Claire Vazart—including a piano sonata, a trio, and a song cycle dedicated to her. She is also the dedicatee of two works by Florentine Mulsant, including *Prélude, Aria et Final*, which she premiered at Salle Cortot in Paris in 2025.
Since 2016, she has collaborated with baritone Emmanuel Cury, founding the Duo Phidylé. Their recording of Duparc’s Mélodies for the IndéSENS Calliope label received the Choc de Classica award in September 2020. In May 2021, again with IndéSENS Calliope, they released a double album featuring the complete Éphémères by Philippe Hersant and Images by Debussy, which was awarded 5 Classica stars, 4 Diapasons, and received widespread critical acclaim in both France and Germany. In 2023, she recorded the complete chamber music for strings and piano by César Franck with the ensemble Des Équilibres, an album also awarded 5 Diapasons and 5 Classica stars. In 2025, the cd "Resonare" for piano solo will be released for Indésens.
A dedicated pedagogue, Sandra Chamoux teaches piano at the École Normale de Musique Alfred Cortot in Paris , at the CRD of Nanterre, she teaches chamber music at the CRR of Cergy-Pontoise. She is also a regular faculty member at international academies (Talent's summer courses,Nancy, Grand Paris, Moulin d’Andé...), and is frequently invited to give masterclasses in France, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, and more recently in India and China.
